The 2nd Graders at Nolan's school put on a play last month called the Unity Tree. Basic plot: the boys were dogs the - girls were cats. The cats and dogs did NOT like each other or go to each others' side of the tree, until Kitty and Puppy came along and were friends. They helped the others see that they could be friends too.
Cute! And Nolan (along with all the other kids) had 2 speaking parts.
"Just what do you think you're doing?"

"If you want to be Top Dog, you can't be soft on cats!"
He was, of course, amazing - never have I felt such feelings while watching a 2nd grade play.
Grandma Diane would be proud! ;)
Acting prowess aside, he did make an awfully cute dog.

Actually it's two thespians there because Matt has also done some acting and singing.
We're glad that the boys are having fun with the acting and school, plus the cello. Can't wait to see you all again.
