Nolan Update

Still as cute and silly as ever - and a little more grown-up... =(

Nolan is loving school & learning so much! They have accomplished in 2 months, stuff I spent years trying to get him to "learn"

He can count to 30 - no problem (we could never get the teens straight)

He can also count to 30 by 5's

Walks around saying words and telling me what letter they start with (I could not get him interested in anything to do with letters, their shapes OR sounds...)

Is "in the know" about everything going on at school and frequently has very mature conversations with Matt about said things. (I feel VERY left out!)

Recently took his first field trip - to the pumpkin patch (one of Nolan's "happy places" he LOVES pumpkins!) - as a result he's been gathering up all our pumpkin decorations and recreating the pumpkin patch at home.

Is very excited for Halloween - he "dresses up" year round anyway, it's just a chance to do it in public!

And loves to wear his Halloween shirts to school "to scare everyone, even 4th graders!" and chase them around like a monster at recess.

And that's what's happening with Nolan!

You Can't Handle the Cuteness

At least I couldn't -
It's official!

Cody is now a full fledged member of Team Armadillo.

Yes, you are...

1 Month

Here's our Cody at 1 month - (2 weeks ago... someday, I'll get stuff posted in real time!)

Sick (Sun)Day

A few weeks ago, Nolan was feeling a little under the weather on a Sunday... so he, Cody & I stayed home from church. While home we...

Constructed a temple using blocks (inspired by the church magazine cover Nolan is displaying here... all his idea by the way!)

Notice how it evolved to include "Book of Mormon guys" a front lawn & diveway. I think if he doesn't become a soldier, policeman or fireman - Nolan may be an architect. =)
Gave Cody a bath (sorry no "during " pictures, but here's the end result...)

And, of course, cuddled with our little Cody

It was such a wonderful few hours... have I mentioned how much I miss my Nolan?
