Cody in Action

This is for our far away family and anyone else that wants to watch Cody in action...

Nolan's Family

Mommy top left, then Daddy, Nolan, Matt & Cody is top right.

Nolan drew this picture the day Cody was born - before we knew he had so much hair!

Then he wrote all our names on a post-it, which I stuck to the picture.

I *heart* it.

Thank You...

for everything, Grandma/Mom/Mamasan!

We love & miss you!

In Other News...

Matt is going to play the cello!

We, very fortunately, still have an amazing school music program where we live. In 4th grade, the kids can begin taking strings... Matt decided he wanted to give it a try, and we all decided the cello would be really cool. We are renting one from a local string shop, and basically, he is getting cello lessons 4 times a week (1/2 hour Mon-Thur) for $33 a month. Not too shabby!

Anyhow, this is after the first day of "class". He was so excited to show us what he learned.

I apologize for the video being sideways, but I couldn't resist.

Nolan is just too funny! (he thought I was taking pictures - and didn't know I was actually shooting video).

Can't wait to hear more, Matt! =)

Cody, Cody, Cody

A few more pics for the fam...

Notes on the Cody bug... practically perfect in every way

Adorable
Promp (arrived a mere 4 hours from our arrival at the hospital to be induced)
Good sleeper
Sweet, sweet disposition
Funny (seriously makes the cutest faces)
I think he might be half vaccuum cleaner

Updates

So, aside from Cody & I... EVERYONE is sick at our house. Nolan only made it to school once last week & Matt twice. It's this horrible fever/sore throat/body aches/cough thing that they just can't seem to kick.

It is nerve wracking bringing a new baby home to that - Cody & I have pretty much taken up residence in the master bedroom with the door shut - basically quarantined - in an attempt to keep him well. I know it may not sound so bad, but there is a whole list of problems...

1. my poor, sick Phil is sleeping on the floor, in a sleeping bag, in Nolan's room
2. my sweet mother in law who came a very long way to be here for Cody's arrival has yet to hold her newest grandson
3. my sweet older boys are sick, and I'm not the one taking care of them (sniff)
4. my family is not getting to spend happy new baby time together - bonding
5. the big boys have only gotten to hold their little brother once since he arrived in this world
6. Cody hasn't seen (or heard) his Daddy in 2 days
7. I am lonely and desperately need lots of hugs and cuddles, but have to keep myself germ free

on the plus side I'm getting plenty of rest and time with Cody...

I just hope everyone gets better soon!
