I just downloaded some pictures from the last monthish... some of them were just too funny, so instead of a really wordy post, I'm just going to post some of my favorites with a short caption...
Mother's Day 2009 -
I got a concert (complete with autographed program!) The previous post really was just a preview...

Matt playing the guitar & the recorder - now that's talent!

This picture just made me giggle! He looks like security.

I got to have my picture taken with the (very cute) band after the performance!
Matt's Project -

Matt had a project due at school. They were learning about different landforms and had to design an island that had 5 or more of the landforms on the list they were given. Matt island was called "Penguin Island" & he got a 3! That's the best grade he could get!
Paper Airplanes -
We (the boys) have been obsessed with paper airplanes this month. I seriously have about 10 laying around the house at any given time... Matt has become quite good at folding different kinds, and of course Phil is an expert. Here are a few of the "boys" testing their planes outside.

Love the pose! If you look really hard you can see Matt's plane at the very top center of the picture...

Nolan has become quite accomplished at throwing the planes just right so they fly their best.
The Father & Son Camp Out (that almost was...) -
Our church does an annual Fathers & Sons camp out & Phil was going to take the boys for the first time this year. Sadly due to a severe thunder storm & lots of rain, it got cancelled. These are the pictures of the boys playing in the tent the day before...

Just so you know how long this tent has been around, this is Phil & his sister Christine in the same tent when they were little!

The tent was a hit with our darling neighbors too!
Other Notables -

Nolan & his new "friend". We got the fans out to circulate the air on warm nights & Nolan decided to dress his up. He calls it "Pirate Fan" (it started out wearing a pirate hat...). This makes me laugh for several reasons, there are the obvious of course... but also, I have a sister (she will remain unnamed here...) that as a child liked to drag our fan around and even named it "Sylvia". It just cracked me up - that even things like befriending fans can apparently be genetic!

Today was the last day of school for Matt. To celebrate, we went to the library & he got his very own library card (I know, we go all out!)! He asked a few weeks ago if he could & we decided that it was probably past time... he has been talking about and excited about it ever since. I asked him after if it made him feel grown up - "YES!"
May's been great!

Oh, yay! Aren't you excited to have THREE sons soon? Boys are great. The library is great too, but Matt holding that library card is just awesome. Do you guys want to come over for a play date next week on a hot day? We are planning to blow up the family size wading pool this weekend. Once it is up and filled it will be calling Matt and Nolan's names. "Matt! Nolan! Come play in me!"
